MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 11, Arizona 2

PHOENIX, April 12 (UPI) -- Orlando Hudson had a homer and three RBI and scored twice, and Eric Stults went 5 1/3 innings for the Dodgers Saturday, when LA beat Arizona 11-2.

Stults (1-0) was called up from the minors to start in place of the Dodgers' Opening Day winner, Hiroki Kuroda, who has been placed in the disabled list due to a left oblique injury. Stults allowed just one run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

Russell Martin and Andre Ethier had two RBI each -- Martin on a two-run double that made it 3-0 in the fourth inning.

Yusmeiro Petit (1-0) started for the Diamondbacks in place of scheduled starter Brandon Webb, who reported stiffness in his shoulder. Petit set down the first 10 Dodgers he faced, but Hudson greeted him with a solo homer in the fourth and the Dodgers mounted a five-run sixth, highlighted by Ethier's two-run double and RBI singles by Casey Blake and Rafael Furcal.

Stephen Drew and Augie Ojeda drove in the Diamondbacks' runs.
