MLB: New York Mets 8, Florida 4

MIAMI, April 11 (UPI) -- Jose Reyes hit a two-run homer and drove in another run Saturday, leading the New York Mets to an 8-4 victory against the Florida Marlins.

Reyes hit an RBI double in the top of the third and a two-run homer in the fifth.

Carlos Delgado had three hits, including a fifth-inning RBI double and an eighth-inning RBI single. New York's Luis Castillo had four hits and an RBI and scored three times.

Alex Cora had one RBI, while Ryan Church added two hits for the Mets, who stopped a two-game skid by scoring three runs in the eighth.

Winner Livan Hernandez, a former Marlin, surrendered two earned runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Florida's Emilio Bonifacio improved his batting average to .583 with three hits. Hanley Ramirez, Wes Helms and Ross Gload also had one RBI apiece, while Cameron Maybin added a run and two hits in the Marlins' first loss after four straight victories to open the season.

The losing pitcher was starter Ricky Nolasco (1-1).
