COL BKB: (W): South Florida 75, Kansas 71

LAWRENCE, Kan., April 4 (UPI) -- Jazmine Sepulveda scored 18 points Saturday, sparking South Florida's 75-71 win over Kansas for the women's NIT championship.

South Florida overcame a large and raucous crowd at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan., to win the first post-season crown in school history.

Sepulveda's jumper gave her team an insurmountable 72-67 lead with 28 seconds left.

Shantia Grace, the game's most valuable player, scored 16 with four rebounds and five assists. Jessica Lawson added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Bulls (27-10), who led 38-30 at the half and won before 16,113 fans, the largest crowd ever to see a Big 12 Conference women's contest.

Danielle McCray led Kansas with 24 points and her 147 points overall established an NIT scoring record. She added four rebounds and four assists.

Sade Morris scored 19 with four rebounds. Aishah Sutherland scored 12 with nine rebounds, and Krysten Boogarad added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Jayhawks, who finished with a 22-14 record.
