BOSTON, March 29 (UPI) -- Glen Davis, playing despite a forehead injury, scored 15 of his 19 points in the fourth period Sunday to help Boston register a 103-84 win over Oklahoma City.
The burly 6-foot-9, 289-pound forward took an elbow to his forehead in the third period that required 10 stitches.
Paul Pierce scored a game-high 27 points with three rebounds and three assists. Eddie House scored 16, and fellow reserve Mikki Moore had 12 points and 11 rebounds in the Celtics' sixth win in their last seven games.
Boston, which took a 71-68 lead into the fourth period, played a second straight game without star forward Kevin Garnett (knee). The Celtics are five games behind Cleveland for the top Eastern Conference playoff seed with seven games to play.
Russell Westbrook led OKC with 23 points. Kevin Durant scored 21, while Jeff Green added 15 points and nine rebounds in the Thunder's fifth loss in six games.
