VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 20 (UPI) -- Robert Luongo made 30 saves to record his sixth shutout of the season Thursday night, giving the Vancouver Canucks a 3-0 victory over St. Louis.
It was the Canucks' 11th straight home win, extending the longest such streak in franchise history.
Luongo, who has allowed two or fewer goals in 13 of his last 15 starts, has 44 shutouts in his nine-year NHL career. He is one short of matching his highest single-season total, which came in the 2002-03 season while he was with Florida.
Alexandre Burrows broke up the scoreless tie with 5:06 to play in the second period. Mason Raymond and Henrik Sedin scored two minutes apart midway through the third to put the game away.
Vancouver's most recent home loss came Jan. 31 against Minnesota, which turned out to be the last of the Canucks' nine consecutive setbacks on their own ice.
