NHL: San Jose 5, Minnesota 4 (OT)

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 10 (UPI) -- Christian Ehrhoff scored 3:34 into overtime Tuesday to hand the San Jose Sharks a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild.

Joe Thornton scored twice and Travis Moen had a goal and an assist for the Sharks, who ended a four-game losing streak.

San Jose goaltender Evgeni Nabokov did not travel with the team because of a lower-body injury. Brian Boucher made his sixth straight start for the Sharks and made 25 saves in the win.

Owen Nolan tallied twice in the third period for Minnesota, with the first goal being the 400th of his career. Peter Olvecky and Pierre-Marc Bouchard also scored for the Wild. Losing goalie Niklas Backstrom stopped 18-of-23 shots.
