EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 8 (UPI) -- Devin Harris' 35 points and 10 assists Sunday led the New Jersey Nets to a 106-101 victory against the New York Knicks.
Harris' driving layup and two free throws gave New Jersey a 104-99 lead with 15 seconds left in the contest.
Vince Carter totaled 25 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals. Brook Lopez scored 16 with six rebounds, while Bobby Simmons added 10 points for the Nets, who had lost eight of 11 and were in danger of dropping out of the battle for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
David Lee, one of six Knicks in double figures, led New York with 19 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Nate Robinson scored 17 with five assists and Danilo Gallinari scored 15 points.
Al Harrington had 14 points and four rebounds for the Knicks, who have lost five of their last six contests.
