SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Mehmet Okur scored 25 points Saturday night to lead the Jazz to a 102-88 win over New Orleans in Utah's first game since the death of team owner Larry Miller.
Miller died Friday at 64 of complications from type 2 diabetes.
Deron Williams had 20 points and 13 assists, Paul Millsap had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Ronnie Brewer had 16 points for the Jazz, who won their fourth straight game and their seventh out of eight.
Chris Paul led the Hornets with 24 points and seven assists. David West had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Rasual Butler scored 21 for New Orleans, which dropped its second straight game.
There was a moment of silence and a video tribute to Miller before the game, and a spotlight was trained on the popular owner's courtside seat. Utah's uniforms featured a patch with the owner's monogram -- LHM -- which the players will wear for the rest of the season.
