CALGARY, Alberta, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Matthew Lombardi had a goal and two assists and Miikka Kiprusoff had 22 saves Monday night to lead the Calgary Flames to a 6-2 win over Montreal.
Lombardi and Dustin Boyd both scored short-handed goals in the second period, and the Flames also got goals from Dion Phaneuf, Rene Bourque, Mike Cammalleri and David Moss to hand the Canadiens their eighth loss in 10 games.
Calgary stopped a four-game losing streak.
Matt D'Agostini and Tomas Plekanec scored goals and Jaroslav Halak stopped 35 shots for Montreal, which has lost three straight.
The Canadiens carried a 2-1 lead into the second period, but with Bourque in the penalty box for slamming Halak, the Flames got an equalizer from Lombardi on a breakaway at 11:36 of the second. Phaneuf made it 3-2 half a minute later and Boyd scored with just over a minute left in the second and the Flames down a man.
Cammalleri's goal was his 28th of the season and Bourque got his 18th.
