Nick Watney wins Buick Open

LA JOLLA, Calif., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Nick Watney birdied the final hole and won the Buick Open in La Jolla, Calif., Sunday by one stroke over John Rollins.

Watney two-putted from 60 feet for the winning birdie, finishing the round with a 4-under-par 68 and a tournament total of 11-under 277.

The two players were deadlocked coming to the final hole, which Rollins parred. Rollins had a 74 in the final round, carding an overall 10-under 278.

Watney's win, worth $945,000, was his second on the PGA Tour.

Lucas Glover (68) and Camilo Villegas (72) shared third place at 9-under 279.
