TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Mike McKenna recorded his first career NHL shutout Saturday night, helping the Tampa Bay Lightning record a 1-0 victory against the New York Islanders.
The game's lone goal was scored by Gary Roberts at 13:34 of the third period. It came off a tip-in of a Steve Eminger shot for the Lightning, who snapped their four-game losing streak.

Steven Stamkos was credited with the other assist on Roberts' game-winner.
Yann Danis made 27 saves on 28 shots for the Islanders, who have lost two in a row after a four-game winning streak.
Before the defeat, New York had won five of its previous six contests against Tampa Bay.
Both teams went 0-for-4 on the power play.
