"I am very excited that Todd has accepted the position of head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs," General Manager Scott Pioli said. "Todd is an outstanding football coach and he has been an integral part of several very successful organizations."

Haley began his coaching career in 1997 as an offensive assistant under Bill Parcells with the New York Jets.

He joined the Chicago Bears in 2001 as the wide receivers coach, then went to Dallas in 2004 where spent three seasons as the Cowboys' wide receivers coach.

He became the Cardinals' offensive coordinator on Jan. 25, 2007.

"I'm really excited about the opportunity," Haley said. "I had a great job in Arizona (and) this had to be a great opportunity."
