TORONTO, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Jason Blake's goal midway through the third period Saturday lifted the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The goal was his 17th this season. He also assisted on Alexei Ponikarovsky's goal in the second.
Goalie Vesa Toskala made 22 saves on 26 shots for the Maple Leafs, who won back-to-back games for the first time since a three-game winning streak in November.
They honored former captain Doug Gilmour before the game, but learned that defenseman Tomas Kaberle will the next month because of a broken bone in his right hand.
Evgeni Malkin led Pittsburgh with a goal and an assist. Miroslav Satan, Sidney Crosby and Tyler Kennedy also scored.
Pittsburgh netminder Mathieu Garon was beaten five times on 26 shots in the Penguins' second straight loss.
