COL BKB: Xavier 82, Massachusetts 80

CINCINNATI, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Derrick Brown scored 23 points Saturday to keep 10th-ranked Xavier unbeaten in conference play with an 82-80 win over Massachusetts.

Brown also had eight rebounds and four blocked shots for the Musketeers (19-2, 7-0 Atlantic-10), who have now won 10 straight games overall. B.J. Raymond and C.J. Anderson added in 22 and 19 points, respectively.

Ricky Harris scored 17 points to lead the Minutemen (7-12, 2-4), who have lost three in a row. Chris Lowe had 16 points and seven assists, and Luke Bonner 14 points.

Xavier shot nearly 60 percent from the field, but had 23 turnovers that UMass turned into 36 points.
