SAUGUS, Mass., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Police in Saugus, Mass., have recovered 27 stolen New York Giants bowl rings inside a bank safe deposit box, the Boston Herald reported.

The report said the unfinished rings, designed by Attleboro, Mass. jeweler E.A. Dion, were intended for the Giants support staff, but were stolen during a heist last June.

Thieves cut a hole in the roof and made off with a 1,000-plus-pound safe filled with $2 million in valuables.

The rings recovered Tuesday had an estimated value of $172,000, about $6,400 per ring.

Massachusetts state police and arrested three suspects last Friday.

The men, including Sean Murphy, 44, of Lynn, Mass., were charged with receiving stolen property. Several stolen items were recovered at Murphy's home.

All were charged with receiving stolen property over $250.

Murphy was held in lieu of a pending case of domestic assault and distribution of marijuana charge, while Kristen Sullivan, 22, of Lynn and Rikkile Brown, 21, of Peabody, Mass., were released on bail.
