Report: Jazz owner undergoes amputation

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Utah Jazz owner Larry H. Miller had both legs amputated below the knee, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

The double amputation is the latest in a series of diabetes-related health issues the 64-year-old Miller has endured during the past eight months. Miller has battled Type-2 diabetes in recent months.

The report did not disclose details about his condition or when he would be discharged from the hospital.

"Larry is doing well and is expected to continue to recover in the coming weeks and months," Greg Miller, chief executive officer of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, told the newspaper Friday afternoon.

In a news release, the team said the Miller family will provide no further details to the public at this time and will have no further comment.
