NHL: Columbus 6, Vancouver 5 (SO)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Jason Williams' shootout goal was a game-winner Sunday night when the Columbus Blue Jackets beat Vancouver 6-5.

After rookie goalie Steve Mason stifled Kyle Wellwood in the first-round of the shootout, Williams scored on Robert Luongo. After Mats Sundin missed for Vancouver, Rick Nash -- in his first game back from the injured list -- beat Luongo to seal the victory, the Blue Jackets' fourth in five games.
