NORMAN, Okla., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Blake Griffin scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, leading No. 6 Oklahoma to a 78-63 win over No. 11 Texas Monday in Norman, Okla.
The Sooners snapped a six-game skid against the Longhorns with the win.
Willie Warren scored 17 points, Tony Crocker added 16 and Austin Johnson netted 15 for the Sooners (16-1, 2-0 Big 12), who have won their last 14 games in Norman. It was also Oklahoma's fourth straight win overall.
A.J. Abrams struggled from the field, but had a game-high 22 points for Texas (12-4, 1-1), which lost for the second time in three games. Abrams went 8-of-27 from the field, including 3-of-15 from three-point range. Damion James added 12 points for the Longhorns, but played just six minutes in the opening half.
Oklahoma put the game away with a 12-0 second-half run that included baskets by five Oklahoma players. A three-pointer by James pulled Texas to within 54-50, but the Sooners then ran off their decisive burst, capped by Taylor Griffin's two foul shots with 5:04 remaining.
