CLEVELAND, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- LeBron James keyed a run late in the first period Wednesday that sent Cleveland coasting past Charlotte 111-81.
The Cavaliers remained perfect in their 18 home games this season.
Cleveland had a 15-11 advantage with 3 minutes to play in the opening quarter and finished off the period on a 14-1 surge. James scored nine of those 14 points and finished with 21 in 31 minutes.
The Cavaliers shot 60 percent from the floor and made half their 14 three-point attempts.
Charlotte was led by Raymond Felton with 15. The Bobcats had been trying to win three in a row for the first time this season.
