Cubs sign Milton Bradley for 3 years

CHICAGO, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- The Chicago Cubs have agreed to terms on a three-year deal with slugging outfielder Milton Bradley, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.

The agreement -- which calls for Bradley, 30, to receive $30 million pending a physical this week, could be announced this week -- the newspaper said. In the same report, the Tribune said the Cubs have traded Jason Marquis to the Colorado Rockies for reliever Luis Vizcaino, a deal that could be announced as soon as Tuesday.

Bradley -- who has developed a reputation for emotional outbursts and has played for five teams in the last five seasons -- hit .321 with 22 homers for the Texas Rangers in 2008, and led the American League with a .436 on-base percentage.
