COL BKB: St. John's 71, Notre Dame 65

NEW YORK, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- D.J. Kennedy had 20 points and 10 rebounds Saturday when St. John's upset 10th-ranked Notre Dame, 71-65.

Justin Burrell added 18 points for the Red Storm (10-4, 1-1), who got their first conference win and stopped a three-game losing streak.

Luke Harangody had 28 points and 16 rebounds before fouling out late for the Fighting Irish (10-3, 1-1), who saw their four-game win streak end.

Tory Jackson added 14 points and Kyle McAlarney 10 for Notre Dame.
