NBA: Phoenix 101, Memphis 89

MEMPHIS, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Leandro Barbosa scored 11 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter Tuesday and Phoenix closed with a 25-5 run in a 101-89 win over Memphis Grizzlies.

Shaquille O'Neal had 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Grant Hill added 15 points, seven rebounds, six steals and four assists for Phoenix.

Hakim Warrick came off the bench to lead Memphis with 25 points. Marc Gasol added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who were coming off back-to-back overtime defeats.

The Suns, already without two-time MVP Steve Nash due to back problems, had Amare Stoudemire get thrown out of the game with 3:52 left in the first half after the big man got into an argument with the referee who whistled him for his third foul.
