BOISE, Idaho, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Da'Rel Scott ran for 174 yards and two TDs in the second half Tuesday lifting Maryland to a 42-35 win over Nevada in the Humanitarian Bowl.
Scott, who was suspended for the first half for violating a team curfew policy, had just 14 carries for Maryland (8-5), which has won four of its past five bowl appearances.
Chris Turner completed 13-of-27 passes for 198 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Adrian Cannon caught one of Turner's tosses for a 59-yard touchdown and Ronnie Tyler also had a scoring catch for the Terps.
Morgan Green ran for 73 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries in the first half.
Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick passed for a Humanitarian Bowl-record 370 yards and three touchdowns on 24-of-47 passing, with two interceptions. The Wolf Pack (7-6) have lost three bowl games in a row, including an appearance in this bowl game in 2006.
Mike McCoy had 13 catches for 172 yards, while Marko Mitchell had 130 yards and a touchdown on five receptions. Vai Taua had 101 yards rushing, 17 yards receiving and two total touchdowns in the loss.
