NBA: Chicago 100, New Jersey 87

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Ben Gordon had 24 points and Derrick Rose had 21 points and 13 assists Monday when the Chicago Bulls beat New Jersey 100-87.

It was the Bulls' first victory over the Nets in New Jersey since 2001. Chicago had lost 13 straight and 16 of its last 17 as the visitor in this series.

But Monday, despite playing without forward Luol Deng (ankle), Chicago got 17 points each from Andres Nocioni and Larry Hughes. Nocioni also had eight rebounds and Hughes seven.

Vince Carter scored 31 points and Devin Harris 26 in New Jersey's fourth straight home loss. The other three Nets' starters combined to score only 14 points.
