PITTSBURGH, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Mike Smith stopped the15 shots he faced Tuesday in Tampa Bay's 2-0 win over Pittsburgh.
It was Smith's second shutout this season.

The Lightnings' offense came from Matt Pettinger scored on a feed from Paul Szczechura at 5:15 of the second period. Szczechura then scored on the power play when he deflected a Jussi Jokinen shot with 8:46 left in the game.
Tampa Bay ended a three-game losing streak. The win was only the eighth this season -- worst in the NHL.
Marc-Andre Fleury made 27 saves for the Penguins, who lost for the third time in five games.
