NEW YORK, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Dallas left wing Loui Eriksson, who led the NHL with six goals last week, was selected the top star in the league for games Dec. 15-21.
Also honored Monday by the NHL were Philadelphia center Jeff Carter and New Jersey left wing Patrik Elias.
Eriksson piled up his six goals in three games, in which the Stars went 2

Carter had four goals and three assists over four games last week. The goals moved him to the top of the NHL goal-scoring list this season with 25. His highlight game came Saturday with two goals and two assists in a 7-1 rout of Washington.
Elias led the NHL with eight points (three goals, five assists) last week and improved his active point streak to 10 games. He had two goals and two assists in a 5-1 victory Friday over Ottawa.
