COL BKB: Syracuse 82, Coppin State 71

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Andy Rautins scored 29 points without attempting a two-pointer Monday to lead 14th-ranked Syracuse to an 82-71 win over Coppin State.

Rautins made 9-of-16 from three-point range and added a couple free throws for Syracuse (12-1). Paul Harris added 15 points and nine rebounds, Arinze Onuaku had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Jonny Flynn had 10 points and 10 assists for the Orange.

Tywain McKee had 31 points and six steals for the losing Eagles (1-8). Jordan Lee had 12 points and Lenny Young scored 10 for Coppin State.
