The Panthers went 4-for-17 in the first half, but they made 14-of-17 free throw attempts and led 26-24 at halftime.

FSU started the second half quickly and built a 34-26 with 15:33 remaining. A 17-0 run, keyed by three-pointers by Young and Jermaine Dixon, helped Pittsburgh build a strong finish.

DeJuan Blair had 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Dixon added 11 points and three rebounds for the unbeaten Panthers (12-0), who had won each of their previous 11 games by double digit margins.

Toney Douglas, the only player in the game to hit double figures, scored 20 points with five rebounds before fouling out for the Seminoles (11-2), who were done in by their own poor shooting (28.9 percent) and 18 turnovers.

The loss ended their four-game winning streak.
