Buffalo extends Gill contract through 2013

BUFFALO, N.Y., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- University of Buffalo football Coach Turner Gill has been given a contract extension through the 2013 season, the school announced Tuesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Gill originally signed a five-year contract at Buffalo in December of 2005.

The Bulls were 8-5 this season and won the MAC championship, defeating Ball State 42-24.

Gill was named MAC Coach of the Year in 2007.
