COL BKB: Cleveland State 72, Syracuse 69

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Cedric Jackson hit a long three-pointer at the buzzer Monday to give Cleveland State a 72-69 victory over 11th-ranked Syracuse.

J'Nathan Bullock had 18 points and Norris Cole 16 for the Vikings (7-4), who have won six of their last eight games. Jackson ended with 13 points.

Eric Devendorf, playing on appeal of a suspension after being found guilty of violating the university's code of conduct, led the losing Orange (9-1) with 17 points. Jonny Flynn added 16 points and Paul Harris 11 points and 10 rebounds for Syracuse.

Syracuse's Andy Rautins missed a three-point try in the closing moments of regulation and Cleveland State got the ball to Jackson, who hit from three fourths of the court.
