COL BKB: Xavier 76, Cincinnati 66

CINCINNATI, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Derrick Brown had 20 points and 10 rebounds Saturday night to help the ninth-ranked Xavier Musketeers post a 76-66 win over Cincinnati.

C.J. Anderson added 17 points and 11 rebounds for unbeaten Xavier (9-0). Dante' Jackson scored 15 points for the Musketeers, who hit only 36.4 percent (20-of-55) from the floor.

Xavier's start to the season is tied for the second-best in school history.

Deonta Vaughn had 27 points and sank five three-pointers, for Cincinnati (6-2), which had won six of its first seven games prior to Saturday. Steve Toyloy and Dion Dixon added 11 points each off the bench for the Bearcats, who committed 19 turnovers.
