Wizards trade Antonio Daniels to Hornets

WASHINGTON, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The NBA's Washington Wizards have dealt veteran guard Antonio Daniels to New Orleans in a three-team trade, which also included Memphis.

The Hornets sent guard Mike James to the Wizards, and acquired guard Javaris Crittenton from the Grizzlies.

Also, Washington sent Memphis a future first-round draft pick the Wizards originally acquired in the deal that sent guard Juan Carlos Navarro to the Grizzlies, while the Hornets got a future second-round draft pick from Memphis.

Daniels is averaging 5.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 rebounds in 13 games.

In 12 NBA seasons with Washington, Memphis, San Antonio, Portland and Seattle, Daniels has career averages of 7.9 points, 3.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 807 contests.

James, in his eighth year out of Duquesne, has averaged 2.5 points and one assist in eight games this season.

Crittenton, drafted by the LA Lakers following his freshman year at Georgia Tech, has averaged just 2.7 points in seven games this season.
