Court date for ex-Bull Blount postponed

HAMILTON, Ohio, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Officials in Butler County, Ohio, say they have postponed a court appearance for former Chicago Bulls player Corie Blount scheduled for Wednesday.

The Cincinnati Enquirer said Blount had been scheduled to appear in Butler County Area II Court to face allegations he was found in possession of 29 pounds of marijuana last week.

Investigators with the Butler County sheriff''s department have accused the former NBA player of picking up an 11-pound package of marijuana delivered to a home he owns in the area.

An ensuing search of a nearby home to which officers followed Blount uncovered another 18 pounds of pot, authorities allege.

Blount, 39, was arrested last Thursday following the alleged discoveries by police and later posted a $10,090 bond.

The Enquirer said Blount, who also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers during his NBA career, is now due in court next Wednesday.
