NFL: Houston 30, Jacksonville 17

HOUSTON, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Mario Williams' three sacks and a forced fumble and Steve Slaton's 130 yards rushing and two scores powered Houston's 30-17 win over Jacksonville Monday night.

Texans quarterback Sage Rosenfels was 14-of-24 for 200 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Andre Johnson caught one TD pass and finished with 75 yards as Houston improved to 5-7.

Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew combined for 116 yards for the Jaguars. Taylor scored one TD on 21 carries.

David Garrard piled up most of his passing stats late in the contest, completing 25-of-35 attempts for 287 yards with one touchdown and an interception.

Matt Jones caught eight passes for 104 yards for Jacksonville (4-8).

The Texans scored on a 69-yard drive on their first possession and controlled the tempo of the game from there. They went up 13-0 before Jacksonville scored on a third-quarter field goal but that's all the points the Jaguars could must in the first 57 minutes of the game.
