MSU faced a 26-22 halftime deficit, and the first half was delayed 45 minutes because of a leaking vent from rain, which led to puddles on the floor of the Milk House arena.

Marquise Gray led Michigan State with 12 points and eight rebounds.

Durrell Summers had 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots, and Kalin Lucas had 10 points, five assists and four rebounds for the Spartans (4-1), whose next opponent is top-ranked North Carolina on Wednesday.

Clive Hannah, with 19 points, six assists and three rebounds, was the only player in double figures for the Shockers (3-3), who shot just 38 percent from the floor and have lost two of three.
