NFL: Buffalo 54, Kansas City 31

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Trent Edwards was 24-of-32 passing for 273 yards and two TDs and the Buffalo Bills scored 23 second-quarter points Sunday in a 54-31 win over Kansas City.

After a 7-7 first quarter tie, Buffalo erupted for 23 in the second and followed with 17 more in the third.

Marshawn Lynch picked up 79 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and Lee Evans made five catches for 110 yards for the Bills (6-5), who broke a four-game losing streak.

Kansas City's Tyler Thigpen went 17-of-31 for 240 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Larry Johnson gained 81 yards on seven carries and Tony Gonzalez scored once on 10 catches for 113 yards for the Chiefs (1-10), who surrendered the most points in a single game in franchise history, surpassing the 51 scored by Seattle in an overtime loss Nov. 27, 1983.

Kansas City finished with more total yards than Buffalo -- 462-444 -- but committed five turnovers.
