Knicks work trades with Clippers, Warriors

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- New York worked trades with both Golden State and the Los Angeles Clippers Friday that brought the Knicks Al Harrington and Cuttino Mobley.

The Knicks sent guard Jamal Crawford to the Warriors for Harrington and dealt forward Zach Randolph and guard Mardy Collins to the Clippers for Mobley and forward Tim Thomas.

Randolph and Crawford had been the Knicks' top two scorers this season.

The moves will alter New York's salary cap structure for next summer. The contracts of Crawford and Randolph run through 2010-11 while those of Harrington, Mobley and Thomas expire after the 09-10 campaign.

"This gives us more long-term flexibility while enabling us to remain competitive this season," said Knicks President Donnie Walsh.
