COL BKB: Tennessee 114, Chattanooga 75

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Tyler Smith scored 21 points and Cameron Tatum added 19 Saturday to help 13h-ranked Tennessee open its season with a 114-75 win over Chattanooga.

Scotty Hopson had 17 points and Wayne Chism had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Volunteers, who won their 33rd straight home game, tying the record for longest home winning streak in school history.

Tennessee is reloading after losing its top two scorers -- Chris Lofton and JaJuan Smith -- from last year's Southeastern Conference championship team.

Stephen McDowell scored 20 points for the Mocs, who lost by only six to the heavily favored Vols last season. Nicchaeus Doaks had 16 points and nine rebounds and Ty Patterson also scored 16 for Chattanooga.
