BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Two goals from R.J. Umberger Friday led Columbus to a 6-1 crushing of Buffalo, the Blue Jackets' fourth win in five games.

Pascal Leclaire made 36 saves and got goal-scoring support from Rick Nash, Manny Malhotra, Michael Peca and Derick Brassard.

Buffalo missed out on a chance to move into a tie with Boston atop the Northeast Division.

All six Columbus goals came against Patrick Lalime, who made only 17 saves. Buffalo has lost three out of four.

Umberger scored the game's first goal at 5:37 of the first after a turnover in the neutral zone and Columbus eventually built a 3-0 lead after one period. Umberger's second goal made it 5-1 early in the third, as he ran his goal total for the year to seven.

Brassard, who scored late in the first period, has eight.
