KANSAS CITY, Kan., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A knee injury has ended the season of Kansas City Chiefs running back Kolby Smith.
Smith was hurt in the second quarter of Tampa Bay's 30-27 overtime win over the Chiefs Sunday. He was helped off the field and left the game. The injury was apparently a right-knee sprain.

Coach Herm Edwards said Smith was out for the year.
Smith had run 10 times for 46 yards and a touchdown against Tampa Bay before he was injured.
The Chiefs will have Jamaal Charles, Jackie Battle and Dantrell Savage available for running back duty in a game Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.
