NBA: Houston 89, Oklahoma City 77

HOUSTON, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Tracy McGrady had 22 points to lead six Rockets in double figures Saturday night when Houston beat Oklahoma City 89-77.

Yao Ming had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Carl Landry had 14 points and 11 rebounds for Houston, which has opened the season with three straight wins.

Kevin Durant scored 26 for Oklahoma City to lead all scorers. Johan Petro and Jeff Green had 10 points apiece for the Thunder, which has dropped two straight to open the season.

The game was close early, with Houston leading 20-17 after the first quarter and 42-41 at the half.

A 12-4 run in the third put the Rockets ahead to stay and the Thunder was unable to come back from a 12-2 Houston surge in the fourth.
