COL FB: Michigan St. 25, Wisconsin 24

EAST LANSING, Mich., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Brett Swenson's 44-yard field goal with seven seconds left Saturday boosted No. 21 Michigan State past Big Ten Conference rival Wisconsin 25-24.

It was the last of four field goals for the junior from Pompano Beach, Fla., including a career-best 50-yarder with 5:16 left in the fourth quarter.

MSU running back Javon Ringer was held to a season-low 54 yards on 21 carries. Ringer leads the nation with 18 rushing touchdowns this season.

Wide receiver Blair White made seven receptions for 164 yards, and quarterback Brian Hoyer completed 19-of-44 for 252 yards for the Spartans (8-2, 5-1).

Wisconsin running back John Clay scored once on 14 carries for 111 yards. Fellow running back P.J. Hill also scored one touchdown on 106 yards on 20 carries.

Badgers quarterback Dustin Sherer finished 14-of-28 for 150 yards with one touchdown pass for the Badgers (4-5, 1-5).
