COL FB: Arkansas 30, Tulsa 23

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Casey Dick threw for a career-high 385 yards Saturday to lead Arkansas to a 30-23 victory against No. 18 and previously unbeaten Tulsa.

The senior from Allen, Texas, completed 25-of-38 passes to go with one touchdown and one interception.

Running back Michael Smith scored one touchdown on 23 carries for 67 yards. Dennis Johnson scored on a 96-yard third-quarter kickoff return and seven different players caught passes totaling 407 yards for the Razorbacks (4-5), who have split their last four outings.

Their defense held Tulsa backs to an average of just 1.6 yards per carry.

Arkansas improved its record to 52-16-3 in the all-time series with Tulsa, which was playing its first game in 25 years as a ranked team.

Quarterbacks David Johnson and Jacob Bower each had one touchdown pass. Johnson completed 17-of-31 passes for 322 yards with one interception.

Fullback Charles Clay caught seven passes for 117 yards and gained 31 yards on two carries for the Golden Hurricane (8-1), who could not overcome a 17-0 first-quarter deficit.
