Hull leads LPGA event in South Korea

INCHEON, South Korea, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Katherine Hull shot 6-under-par 66 in Friday's first round which gave her a two-stroke lead at the LPGA's Hana Bank- KOLON Championship at Incheon, South Korea.

The native of Queensland, Australia, made the first of six birdies on the par-four second hole, and recorded her lone bogey at the par-4 11th.

"Everything kind of clicked today I guess," she said. "I only made probably a couple bad swings, putted well all day, made a couple of good par saves and then was able to make a few birdies."

Korean Amy Yang is second at 4-under 68 because she bogeyed two of the last five holes.

Yang's compatriot, Chae Young Yoon, is third, one shot back of Yang, and a group of eight golfers shares fourth place at 2-under 70 at Incheon's Ocean Course at Sky 72 Golf Club.

Defending champion Suzann Pettersen of Norway opened with a 5-over 77, which left her in a tie for 58th place.
