NBA: Toronto 95, Philadelphia 84

Jermaine O'Neal, acquired by the Raptors in a deal with Indiana, added 17 points and Jose Calderon scored 13. Toronto made 10 of 16 shots from outside the arc.

Brand scored 14 points and Andre Iguodala had 15 for the 76ers. It was a meeting of teams that were knocked out of the playoffs in the opening round last season.

Philadelphia jumped to a 9-1 lead, but the advantage was trimmed to three by the end of the first quarter and Toronto took control with a 33-point second period. A 17-9 Toronto run that ended the third period broke the game open.

The 76ers shot just 34.5 percent from the field.
