ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- No. 1 seed Andy Murray of Scotland blew past Kazakhstan's Andrey Golubev 6-1, 6-1 Sunday to win the St. Petersburg Open in Russia.
Murray hardly broke a sweat while successfully defending his 2007 title.

Murray, who converted 5-of-8 break point chances, improved his 2008 match record to 53-14.
"I"m happy to win and to defend my title here," said Murray, who joined the eight-player Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai Nov. 9-16.
He walked away with a $171,100 champion's check.
Golubev, 21, failed to break Murray on either of two opportunities.
The tournament runner-up won $92,400 after his first career title match.
