TORONTO, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Alexei Ponikarovsky's second goal this season lifted the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators Saturday night.
The game-winner, at 13:37 of the third period, gave Toronto what proved to be an insurmountable 3-1 advantage.
Dominic Moore (power play in the first period) and Mikhail Grabovski also scored once each, while goalie Vesa Toskala was beaten twice on 24 shots for the Maple Leafs, who posted back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
Ottawa's goals were scored by Shean Donovan in the second period and Dean McAmmond in the third.
Goaltender Alex Auld made 35 saves on 38 shots in the Senators' fourth loss in a row.
Toronto was 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Senators were 0-for-2.
It was the first of six meetings between the teams this season.
