NEW YORK, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Denver cornerback Dre' Bly and Miami linebacker Joey Porter were fined $20,000 each Friday for post-game remarks aimed at officials last weekend.
Bly was called for illegal contact during the third quarter and he was also upset by a pass interference flag thrown against teammate Marlon McCree during Denver's loss to Jacksonville.
Denver was the beneficiary of a bad call earlier this year that gave the Broncos a 39-38 win over San Diego.
"I guess they've been evaluating us and say we won games we shouldn't have won," Bly said after the Jacksonville game. "So, I guess they're going to get a call against us."
On the first play of Houston's winning touchdown drive against Miami, Texans quarterback Matt Schaub lost the ball. Referee Ed Hochuli ruled Schaub threw an incomplete pass rather than fumbling the ball away.
"I know for sure that I had both his arms when the ball came out," Porter said after the game. "I'm looking for an apology or something. But it will be too late by then. The game's over."
Earlier Friday, St. Louis Rams guard Richie Incognito was fined $35,000 for berating an official during his team's victory over Washington.
