VILAMOURAL, Portugal, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Stephen Manley leads the Portugal Masters golf tournament after a 7-under-par 65 left him one-stroke ahead of three others through Thursday's first 18 holes.
Mark Foster, Jyoti Randhawa, and Alvaro Quiros shot 6-under 66 and saw their clubhouse lead disappear despite the Welshman's closing bogey at the par-4 18th at Vilamoural's Oceanico Victoria golf course.
Foster made his lone bogey at the par-4 16th, while Quiros recorded his only bogey of the day at the par-6 fifth hole.
Randhawa joined the Foster and Quiros in the clubhouse by making pars at the last four holes.
"I was hitting the ball very well today from the tee to the green (but) I have to improve," Quiros said.
"I enjoyed playing in the sun." said Randhawa. "It reminds me of back home, nice and sunny."
Seven players shot 5-under 67 and share fourth place.
