COL FB: North Carolina 38, Connecticut 12

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Shaun Draughn rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown Saturday to help the North Carolina Tar Heels defeat the 23rd-ranked Connecticut Huskies, 38-12.

Quarterback Cam Sexton, starting in place of the injured T.J. Yates, passed for 117 yards and a touchdown with 9-of-16 completions for the Tar Heels (4-1).

Ryan Houston had three carries for 39 yards and scored once in the win. Hakeem Nicks caught three passes totaling 55 yards and also scored once.

Donald Brown, the nation's leading rusher, had 161 yards on 33 carries with one touchdown for previously unbeaten UConn (5-1).

Zach Frazer, starting in place of Tyler Lorenzen, who has a broken right foot, was 24-of-44 passing for 210 yards and was intercepted three times.
